Beach Rose Guest Recommendation

We had great weather all week and ambled through the low tides at First Encounter Beach most afternoons. We took the 'Capt Rob' 1-1/2 hr seal watch cruise into Orleans River/Little Pleasent Bay/Pleasent Bay/Chatham Harbor and it was great. Saw lots of seals. What a beautiful area. I would highly recommend it. Lost a kite in the dunes above Marconi Beach but all in all a wonderful time.

Spring on the Outer Cape

Spring on the Outer Cape is like being on a treasure hunt. What is open, what is new, what special events are going on? Ten Tables is a new restaurant, recently opened on Bradford Street in Provincetown with organic, local products and great flavors. My husband and I enjoyed a great meal there two weeks ago; and we will definitely return. A memorable dish was the Wellfleet Oyster Stew - a creamy delight.

With few visitors this time of year, you pretty much have the place to yourself. On a warm afternoon this week I walked 2 miles into the dunes from Rt 6 to the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way I saw the sprouts of the new beach grass just coming up through the sand, 4 types of animal prints, perhaps one set was canine! The breathless vista of the deep blue Atlantic Ocean was my reward at the end of the trail. Hiking, biking, kayaking, picnics are just a few of the out-door activities going on this time of year.
